squadge78 Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 wonder why, some people enjoy the build more than the finished article, might wanna build something else.
SebringRS Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Think it was up for sale just before being finished, musta been testing the water
Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 24, 2010 Admin Report Posted May 24, 2010 Oh dear that's a shame ... he seemed so keen to get it on the road and use it
GJUK Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 wonder why, some people enjoy the build more than the finished article I don't think that's the case, I remember reading "I don't care what anyeone thinks this car is individual and its done the way I done it and want it to be" or similar. Hope he gets some of his money back, which could be difficult with a car you've put your own stamp on.
puddy Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Good luck with the sale, but no lsd, 3.09 gears, standard engine, no wrc head gasket, T3 turbo and all very unproven, 25k ? Puddy
fostersice Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Bills for everything and dyno Building was great but now want to do it again this time a mk1 After driving the car there is two things for sure I will loss my D/L and my job i was offered £20k before it was finished But after I didn't have to sell it I wanted to finish it if it don't sell I'm not worried Just got the bug to build again this time more standard lol
GJUK Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 I wish my car was finished like yours. I won't be selling my car so quickly though, why don't you keep it and buy a mk1 as well. Comparing the amount of money you've shelled out on this £5k on another car would be pennies. Best of both worlds
fostersice Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Lol the wife will only allow one toy at a time lol
popeye Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 SELLING !!!! if you still have the motor are you taking it the pod meet..
fostersice Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 If it don't sell I'll still be going to the shows with it and if it does sell I have the next car lined up so I'll be taking that one;-)
mk1cossydan Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Bills for everything and dyno Building was great but now want to do it again this time a mk1 After driving the car there is two things for sure I will loss my D/L and my job i was offered £20k before it was finished But after I didn't have to sell it I wanted to finish it if it don't sell I'm not worried Just got the bug to build again this time more standard lol 20k is alot! of money before the car wernt finished what needed doing to it mate?
l j shaw Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 i always find what is offered when its not forsale, differs somewhat from what they will pay when it is forsale.. Good luck with the sale.
RETRO_AL Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Tbh i dont think you will get 25k for her,i saw the jems mk2 for sale and that was 23k (iirc) and thats a proper full gr4 tarmac spec massive spec 400bhp+ engine I got 25k for my mk1 but i dont think i would have got it in this current climate Good luck with the sale
LEONMEX Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 lovely motor & good luck with the sale. You never get what they are really worth to YOU,thats the bottom line
fostersice Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 Upto £15100.00 still 3days so let's see lol
GJUK Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Amazing how people can bid £15k for something I can only assume (perhaps wrongly) that they've not seen in the flesh. Crazy.
