4-Door Pete Posted June 30, 2010 Report Share Posted June 30, 2010 Hi I'm a novice welder , I got a mate to show me the basics and did some reading both online and magazines. I choose a SIP migmate gas welder from the welders warehouse. I get the consumerables from Machine Mart. Get yourself a good auto mask, gloves and apron. the best way to start i found was to practice on some scrap metal to get to know the welder settings. good luck Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's OK for bits and bobs if you have to weld outside and you can get 2 bits of metal joined together with it, but for a 'proper' job it has to be gas Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
