i think it was 2004... was on earlier today on dave. there was 2 on and i know one of them was 2004 but i cant remember if it was this one or the other one.

I thought that as I was watching it, the escort was probably set up for a forest stage, it's hardly a like for like car. Now if a mk1 circuit race car had gone up against the focus that might indeed have been different.

 

The episode of Old versus New I remember from an early series had golfs, mr2's and such like drag racing each other, this one:

like already said they should use a road set up escort at least, or a track car. On the track the Focus is pretty good the front dif did a amazing job of sorting out the 270+BHP and 310ft/lbs mine had
