SmokeEm Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Can you get cornered in a round room? Why isn’t evaporated milk a gas? Why does ‘dyslexia’ have to be so hard to spell? If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done? When people go mental, why do they get physically violent? If Pinocchio said, "My nose is about to grow", what would happen? If you sneezed on a computer, would it get a virus? Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker? If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing? If ghosts go through walls, why don’t they fall through the floor? Why sheep don't shrink when it rains? Why is a square meal served on round plates? Why is it that it’s good to score under par in golf but its bad to be "under par" in any thing else? If money doesn't grow on trees then why do banks have branches? Why does a round pizza come in a square box? If a chronic liar tells you he is a chronic liar do you believe him? If pro is the opposite of con, is progress the opposite of Congress? If all the world is a stage, where is the audience sitting? If Superglue is so good why doesn't it stick to the inside of the tube? If someone with a split personality threatens to commit suicide, is it a hostage situation? Why can't women put on mascara with their mouth closed? If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?
SmokeEm Posted July 22, 2010 Author Report Posted July 22, 2010 Also.... Why toasters always have a setting so high that could burn the toast to a horrible crisp which no decent human being would eat? Why you don't ever see the headline: "Psychic Wins Lottery"? Why you have to click on "Start" to stop 'Windows'? Why they are called apartments when they are all stuck together? Who the first first person was to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these pink dangly things here, and drink whatever comes out?"

Mk1-Paul Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Why is a square meal served on round plates? it came from a famous old boat that had square plates and the expresion came from that
zac.gfc Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Why does things that are taken by ship called "cargo" and things that are taken by cars called "shipments"?
zac.gfc Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 "If Superglue is so good why doesn't it stick to the inside of the tube?" Super Glue contains a chemical called cyanoacrylate which reacts with the water in the air to harden.
rambo67 Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Why does things that are taken by ship called "cargo" and things that are taken by cars called "shipments"? This was because it took ages to load ships , at a snails pace , es'cargo ! But to take them away was a ships movement (ship meant for forward delivery)
