If you want a good reason for not driving without insurance, here it is.

 

If you have an accident that you are at fault for and cripple someone, in addition to what ever charges you might face from the police for the accident and lack of insurance, your victims normal recourse for compensation to replace his/her lost income will be to your insurance company. Without that cushion, he/she can pursue you personally for every penny he can get from your assets and your current and future incomes. He will also probably get a no win no fee solicitor to support him in his claim and your ass will be royally screwed for as long as your victim chooses to pursue you.
