Admin Vista Posted July 28, 2010 Admin Report Posted July 28, 2010 If you want a good reason for not driving without insurance, here it is. If you have an accident that you are at fault for and cripple someone, in addition to what ever charges you might face from the police for the accident and lack of insurance, your victims normal recourse for compensation to replace his/her lost income will be to your insurance company. Without that cushion, he/she can pursue you personally for every penny he can get from your assets and your current and future incomes. He will also probably get a no win no fee solicitor to support him in his claim and your ass will be royally screwed for as long as your victim chooses to pursue you. Still want to skip paying insurance?
SmokeEm Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 Imagine how you'd feel if one of your kids was hit by an uninsured knobhead
Beakster Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 Try these guys: http://www.endsleigh.co.uk/ They specialise in student insurance, its who I went with when I was 17.
Mk 1 Helen Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 I got one quote for £9999.99 for my 1.3GT escort off Confused & I'm a 40 year old lady with no points & 9+yrs no claims. Got insurance from Adrian Flux for £120 & limited the mileage to 2000. It's crappy when you're young tho- I had to pay £450 for my first escort when i was 17 & it only cost me £80 to buy & that was 3rd party only!!
