sarkie83 Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 i realised today it had been a week since i took the capri out (waiting for pay day, lol) - but it only had enough in the battery to partly turn over. surely the clock can't sap that much, and it's a big old battery!! as they get old do they loose charge quicker?
texr2000 Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 there might be a drain on it or the battery is just old
Essexboy Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 might be your alternator, maybe it failed on your last run or sumin, might cause your battery to become flat on your last run and you might not have noticed unless you have a volt gauge in your car.
sarkie83 Posted July 30, 2010 Author Report Posted July 30, 2010 true - the same happened with my cortina when i sold it - the guy called me up when he was on the side of the motorway as it had packed up. i always thought a volt meter would be useful to have!
