bronze4door Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 here is my pride and joy a 1974 mk1 escort 4door it has recently been finished from its restoration where it has been welded up including wings arches front and rear panels and any oher parts that needed doing it was then painted in the original colour of copper brown and re-built at home on my drive the engine purchased was a rebuilt 1600 crossflow its a 711m block bored out to a 1660 with 1300 pistons and a kent bcf3 cam and ashley exhaust system the grearbox was replaced with a 1600 sport box with quickshift it passed its MOT on tuesday after being off the road for the past 3 and a half years it still needs a few little bits finishing off like getting the grill fitted and cleaning up the wheels but for now i am over the moon with it this is how it looked last week and this is it now then i took it for a run up the bodyshop where it was painted now i cant wait till saturday when we are leaving for ford fair
