BIG G Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 seally do some good kits but halfords do some good quality gear
stevepeanut Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 mine is a mix of draper stuff from machine mart and halfords pro. Halfords pro stuff is really good. Avoid cheap tools though, waste of money.
Durham Fiesta Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 halfords stuff is good for the money , my set has has taken plenty of abuse , the only thing i've broken is a small ratchet handle
D4N Posted August 6, 2010 Author Report Posted August 6, 2010 I can not find big sets on the halfords website. Are they not on there website or am i just useless
dave waudby Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 halfords have full gaurantee too so if you break one and take it back they replace it they do quite big socket sets plus they sell loads of spanners screw drivers singly and sockets extension bars rachets etc ive got a lot of halfords stuuf and some draper stuff
Grizzley Dell Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 snap on do a blue point kit with 1/4 drive, 3/8 drive, spanners, and allen bits for around £130. all in 1 case. had mine a couple years and its been good.
ADY Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 This is the set i have, and would recomend it to anyone. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165572 And its half price at the mo. Have had it a few years and only broken a couple of bits, and like some of the other lads have said, they have a lifetime warranty so they just exchange anything you manage to break

Yes, or look on ebay That blue point kit was on offer a while ago for £99, looked like a fairly good deal but you could probably get similar quailty for much cheaper.
stevepeanut Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 tell ya what still makes me giggle, the numpy on here that had a go at me and said I was ripped off when I spent £200 on a halfords tool cabinet. It was a double cabinet on wheels and was half price in the sale. He said I was a mug paying that cos it didn't come full of tools! It would cost thousands to kit that out with really good tools

dawesy1700 Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 if you can get one lads, get a halfords trade card, you get all tools and service parts discounted, i have one and its great, and they are cheaper than part co on lots of stuff with the card, our lass bought a set of wipers for her new corsa, on the shelf at £14.95, i paid £4.75 with my trade card, whoop! defo worth getting one if you can.
Pipster007 Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Why get any tools, when all you need are these two tools
