I remember when I did grasstrack and hotrods years ago it was common practice.

prop loop? If so i have one on mine

prop hoop (the hoop is off set as orignaly I intended using a small dia prop and run the exeaust thro there but the exeaust bend was to tight gearbox end so i stayed with big prop)

 

When at ride hight the prop is in the (center/right)of hoop looking from the back

there the ones, we used to fit at least two, never had one let go when I did it, but been told of a few pole vaulting grass track cars when they dig into the mud.

cool thank you. That looks like it might be an option for giving the escort a bit more ground clearence than the sierra one im using at the moment.
