Jiffer Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 are 40 dcoes to small for a 2l zetec if I want to hit around 170 or am I looking at 45s?
Synergy Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 I was advised to go 45s with 40mm chokes and five progression holes for flat spot free power
GT_lenny Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 as said above you'll want 45's with the 5th progession hole- ive no idea what that means but apparently thats what you want if you go the weber route
Fiesta Steve Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 I'd start with 36mm chokes and see how you get on. You can make chokes bigger, but youy can't make them smaller and you'd probably lose more than you gain.
Jiffer Posted September 28, 2010 Author Report Posted September 28, 2010 still undecided on which route I'm going with this yet, x flow or zetec just working out what I need to get, am also looking at bike carbs and bodies but seems a bit of a black art
Jiffer Posted September 28, 2010 Author Report Posted September 28, 2010 these have caught my eye http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Suzuki-GSXR-750-t ... 3a5f0d73bf
Synergy Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 I'd start with 36mm chokes and see how you get on. Which is apparently what Webcon have done and determined that 40mm was the optimal size for fast road application, it's a bit of a black art for me too
