fuel tank in the boot

hi does any one now the mot rules for putting the fuel tank in the boot iv seen one in a mk2 fiesta ? im hoping to put one im a capri thanks

cant see there being a problem as all early escorts have them in the boot as did some early capris

tru but the only thing i was thinking is that the mk1 and2 escorts and that have got a sealed boot or fire wall or wotever u want to call it but im not sure ????????????????

escorts only have a thin peice of board between boot & backseat as standard??

not very fire proof?

For MOT I don't think there is a problem. Just for motorsport most regs req a fire wall

mine went through fine

 

the only thing in the back of my mk1 fez is the tank

i boarded around the tank so the only thing you can see is it havent even got rear seats

MK1 Cortina's have a fuel tank 1/3 in & 2/3 out of the boot and the fire wall is cardboard that well known fire proof material
