ZetecVan 2.0 Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 I seem to remember it was just after the Purple Club started and we made a few changes to the site, and Google re-indexed it. When it says 'Users' it doesn't mean 'people'. 'Users' can also be search engine 'bots' indexing the site, and they can have a few sessions running at a time. The site counts a session as a 30 minute 'window' that a 'user' is connected and active. So if Google connects 20 times and has 20 sessions running at once, then disconects and reconnects using different IP addresses, the site will say that's 40 people. That means on occasion, like on 26th June, a couple of hundred of the 'users' will have been Google.
bigglesmk2 Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 I have always wondered about that...and now i know ... ....wonder why i never asked tho
