BaileyMex Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 Got a Transit Long wheel base to scrap, whats the rough going rate for something this big? I would guess about 2 tonnes
Savvi Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 £100 per ton ? Think that's what my mate is getting at the moment. How old is it, just bought a transit recovery truck was looking for central door locking motors for it if you had any
FredTransit Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 2 ton with a 3.5 ton gross? What's it made of? It should be around 1.5 ton empty, maybe less if you have taken bits off (though you can make this up with loose scrap)
BaileyMex Posted November 23, 2010 Author Report Posted November 23, 2010 Yeah LOL I wa doing that on the way to work this morning, your probably right it's probably closer to 1.5t,
BaileyMex Posted November 25, 2010 Author Report Posted November 25, 2010 anyone interested before it goes to our normal scrapper? starts and runs but no brakes or mot
FredTransit Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 Engine? Gearbox? What's up with the brakes? What year is it?
BaileyMex Posted November 26, 2010 Author Report Posted November 26, 2010 Starts and seems to drive ok, but the brake pedal when pressed goes softly right to the floor and is unsafe to drive Filthy dirty and rust in the usual areas W/2000 Transit 190 LWB think its on around 113k, but would need to go outside in the cold to check
FredTransit Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 If it's a DI and an MT75 it would be a good donor for a Mk1 or Mk2, where are you? Do you want scrap money then?
BaileyMex Posted November 26, 2010 Author Report Posted November 26, 2010 older shape RWD smiley face model similar to this one yeah im gonna say scrap,
