the heater doesnt work in my Transit mush!

an hour if I'm lucky each morning from boonsville into Nottingham and I'm ready to set myself on fire. its one of those I'll do it later jobs like what I should be doing right now.

get that out there n bleed it ya wanna be pikey or just go into halfrauds and invest in a 12v dash heater for a sum of £9.99 then ya don even have to wait for it to warm up before ya toasty

if u put a jetwash gun down the header tank and blast it u will have a normal working heater apparently just what i was told

Is there any water in the engine?? If there is, put some cardboard in front of the rad!

Try changing the thermostat as it may be stuck open

sounds like either an airlock or jammed thermostat, never heard of the jet wash idea before be interested to hear if it works

can work if its a little blocked but if it was as cloged as my zodiac one your better off getting a new one or recoreing the old one

a commom problem with smiley transits is the blower fan stops working they have 2 modules that burn out but what i did on mine was run a switched live to the fan and just had it on a switch in the dash it runs it at full speed but it what ya need if you cant clear the screen etc the plug for the fan is directly behind the stereo so its nice and easy to get to

hav'nt found a ford yet with a great heater in it unless it is new

well so far the transit has

 

Burst top water hose on way to work - had to wait 2 hours for new pipe,

 

There wasnt a thermostat in it to start with by the look of things

 

then seal blew on Water pump immediatley after

 

New water pump and Thermostat later (still over heats and break down on lonely section of A52 when a very nice bunch of travelling folk came to my rescue over a hedge ,

 

 

A very bizarre experience and after all that I went to see faithless at the the trent fm arena which was King marvellous!!

head gasket id say aswell , either find a new di ta chuck in it for 100 quid off ebay or spend a couple of hrs doing the gasket in the northern freezin fridge up there
