Advice please on Email hacker

My email address is sending out random messages to people in my address book which include links to such like as viagra.

 

Dont want to lose this particular email address as i have had it for approx 10 years

 

I changed my password for my emails this morning but is there anything else i should do ?

I don't think it's specifically a hacker, more a virus / trojan on your PC. Have you done all the usual virus sweeps?

Msn is particularly susceptible to these Trojan Horse viruses. You really should be more careful which dodgy sites you go on!

 

Best course of action )(according to Burnds the Porn Meister) is to save any files off the computer onto disk or stick, reformat the computer, reinstall windows and install spybot (serch and destroy), which is free. Spybot asks you before changing anything in the registry.

This happened to me once and was advised by my isp to restore my laptop to factory settings and upgrade my anti-virus. Worked a treat

i had the same problem, scanned the pc and changed my password and all was good

download malware bytes and run a full scan, thatll most likely find the culpritt if its there!

Thanks all..changed the password and have downloaded Malware Bytes and Spybot ...so fingers crossed that will stop the emails
