Admin Vista Posted December 27, 2010 Admin Report Posted December 27, 2010 a 500bhp zetec? For sure a T9 will be no good for that...............but a zetec is going to need an awful lot spent on it to make it strong enough for 500bhp too isn't it?
silverstreak Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 cosworth t5 box mate strong as anything
fatboycharlie Posted December 27, 2010 Author Report Posted December 27, 2010 yes mate a lot of work ?
over_head_cam Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 T5's the kiddie, but make sure it's tip-top if you want to change gear at high revs
deltamal Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 T5, with B&M quickshift, but get it rebuilt if it's an unknown quantity...
GT_lenny Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 i think your pushing the limits of a t5 500bhp ?
fatboycharlie Posted December 28, 2010 Author Report Posted December 28, 2010 oh rite ok wot options is there after a t5 ? am i going to hafto re morgage? lol
GT_lenny Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 i dunno mate having 500+bhp is not a problem i've ever had
PIG Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 t5 wont last long with that type of power and torque imo,ive broke about 5 of the things now with 400+ hp mate.if your staying h-pattern source either a t56(tvr or i think earley mustangs) or the tko600 they do come up on ebay etc if you dont wanna buy new although i think real steel sell new tko 600's for about £1800 iirc.other than that sequential boxes but proper ones are proper money
