Hi folks..... Happy New Year!!

I need to ship 4 wheels with tyres and am struggling to find suitable boxes. They need to be 60x60x40 and made from strong enough cardboard to take the weight.

Any ideas of where to get them. Have tried local packaging places, but they're all just a bit too small :(

Alternatively, anyone driving from E.London/Essex to (or past) Doncaster and want a contribution towards fuel?

Cheers,

Jim

I've sent a few sets of wheels/tyres before and have only used cardboard to cover the actual wheel centre (to stop the rims getting dinged)-plenty of gaffer tape to stop the card slipping-sorted.Just draw round the tyre on piece of card and cut out one for front one for back. Dont worry about wrapping them completely tyres are hardly likely to get any damage.

I used to be a courier and we had a firm that just put them in boxes and when the night shift threw them on the floor you could hear the rims through the cardboard hitting concrete, not good!i would tape cardboard around the face of the wheel then plenty of bubble wrap

grab some cardboard boxes big enough to cut a wheel shape out of , put said cut outs of wheel on back and front then shrink wrap them theres no need for the tyre to have cardboard on them you just want to protect the ally , if there steel just shrank wrap em and give them a couple of stripes of gaffer tape
