tiesto-uk Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Morning all, New to all this, I've been a fan of Cortinas since i was a kid, first car was a cortina 2000 gt in Yellow with a black roof. Have had a succession of Cortinas and a lucky enough to have owned a pre face lift MK2 Granada 2.8 ghia. I'm on the hunt for a Mk3 2000gt in Daytona Yellow 2dr, but i've not come up with anything, unfortunatley i've been out of touch where cars are concerned but from what I can see there arn't many MK3's about, which is shame as I think it was a great looking car. bortaf Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 They are all on BSC mate BUT a 2 door GT your looking at 4G pluss for a decent one IF there is one for sale that is, i sold a shell with nothing on it (2Dr GT) and i meen bothing on it including no boot floor or rear pannels for £500

I always remember they were on rare side in the 80's but cheap. It does appear the mk3 is becoming an even rarer breed than the mk1 or Mk2. Not interested in the mk4 or the Cortina 80 (mk5) however I do have a soft spot for the mk4 2.0s and 2.3s, they were good. Anyway thanks for the info.

Deffo more Mk2s about but there aree laods of Mk3s about mainly face lift ones but then they aint tax exempt there's a big differance in price between tax exempt and non tax exempt. check out teh Mk3 cortina owners club forum or buysellcortina
