Depends on your ability to store it and your restoration skills. You say it is both stunning and in need of a full resto? If you have somewhere to store it and can either do the work ,or most of the work yourself, then it would be a good project to keep. If you do not have a garage, and the work will all need to be paid for, then it's probably best to sell it to someone who can.

A couple of years ago a bought a mk5 Cortina for really cheap in OK condition from the top and inside, but when I got it back to my garage and saw the welding that needed doing I decided to sell it as I can't weld, and put the money to my current Cortina. Sometimes you need to make the right decision before it becomes a money pit.

Sound advice above which I agree with. My escort was in need of a full resto and several times I felt like giving up and binning it, but I had the garage and perseverence to keep plodding away at it, which I'm glad I did. Its kinda finished if they ever are but as above, wee jobs need done here and there. You'll probably regret it if you sell it, but if you dont have facilities then you may need to sell.

If you store an old ford for any amount of time outside eventually it will rot. You must have somewhere dry to store it.

i have no where to store it, my intention was to get a car port built, but loss of job means i cant do much now, he has already been sat since 2006 and is looking quite sad, i know i will regret it and am worried if i sell it will go to the banger track :(

Unfortunately if you don't sell it or dry store it soon it will only be fit for the banger track.
