i considered selling my capri, but all ill have is about £1200 which i would slowly spend over a few months, then end up with no money again and no capri.

 

i work at Tesco and even they are cutting back job and hours at my store.

 

i've only got 11.5 hours a week, which means, i'm only about £60 quid a month better off than being on benifits,

 

keep looking and things will turn around

Pop it in the garage mate and forget about it for a while dont sell it as chances are you wont get another. Agree 110% about whats been said about the state of the country, all we get fed is false promises and lies from one lot to another, un employments went up and people are being paid off non stop britain has gone soft as diarrhoea.

listen up young 'uns. I have a good job on a good salary and not too many debts. I had to give up one of my Capris 2 years ago coz I couldn't afford to keep both. Regret every minute of giving up my mk1. Still ain't got the other back on the road and it ain't for lack of trying. Just can't afford to throw cash at it at present but unlike the mk1 it ain't gonna leave my garage with anyone else at the steering wheel. The point is that if its hard for me god only knows how hard it is for some of you chaps and chapesses. I salute your committment

i agree with all of the above.its gettin harder to survive just now,but theres always someone worse off,scant consolation i know.my last 18 months have included losing my father in law to cancer,family business folding due to 130k bill not being paid,resulting in my parents losing their home,mum then gets told she has cancer,i go down to 4 day week for 9 months which results in us selling our home to get something cheaper,so i can sympathise with all of you struggling on,all the best to everyone.hoping for better 2011.

Was offerd a grand for my old 2 door mk2 shell the outher day but although i owe money to the bank i just couldnt sell the old girl, she was the first mk2 i ever owned and is still a decent source of bits !! I have had to sell a set of lotus rims and some spare 2 door mk2 doors to cover some bills just lateley, but needs must.

Fcebook maybe doing some big fat 11's out side number 10 ? Fook knows but something needs to be sorted give it another few years we will all have chips injected into us so big brother knows where we are at all times and if we are not working 24/7 we will be on the streets

sorry guys, I am English through and through but it's not foreigners that cause the problem, it's our country.

A lot of so called "Foreigners, imigrants" work as hard as we do.

It's lay about spongers that get money handed to them on a plate that's the problem and they are both Foreign and English a like and until we toughen up and stop dishing out hand outs to all and sundry it won't change.

My mate works very hard as a surveyor puts in lots of hours, earns 40K a year and company he works for employs 40+ people on books and huge amounts of contracting subbies, and his boss is Irish the so called foreigner that's no good for this country? He employs a lot of English and Imigrant a like and pays a heck of a lot of National insurance and income tax. Not really his fault that our government then decides to dish out billions of it to English and Foreign lay abouts that know how to play a very soft system.

i've been skint all my life, but compared to me when i was 20, i'm well off.

it depends what you compare yourself to.

i've never sold anything because i need the money...because i believe if you never had what you are about to sell, you would still sort things out eventually..i'm one of the only people i know that still has 1000+albums on vinyl when all the people i grew up with sold theirs...and they're no better off because of it...selling stuff is a cheap fix.

i prefer the revolution idea...honestly!!

to put things in perspective, my daughter and her boyfriend have just had their 1st baby, and cant afford to rent or get a deposit for a place of thier own yet good footballers who play away from home get £25,000 pw

the big question is...are you happy?

have you got a family that you love and loves you?

is this worth more than money in the bank?...hmmm
