mk1super Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 My cars been hold up in the garage over winter with a cover over it due to the cr@p scottish weather, and i now have what appears to be Mold inside the dam thing and in the engine bay, and its now micro blister central over the car Any ideas what i can do to get rid of it of the mold from under the bonnet and interior? Im feeling a respray is only cure for outside of it
mattsbmw Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 Its a reasonably straight forward job. Get some all purpose cleaner like flash or something from the supermarket, dilute it down 1 part cleaner to 10 parts water spray on affected surfaces and wipe away with a microfibre cloth. Just becareful not too breath too much of the mould in. Should see the inside looking like new.
deltamal Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 In the engine bay, spray with WD40 then wipe off, paint brush in the nook's and crannies, will also stop it forming again.

It depends on what it is, but i wouldn't want to be breathing it in.
