Fred_Bear Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 I sent an email to one of my senior managers in Revenue & Customs today, after the main message I added: On a lighter note: I've been charged with murder for killing a man with sandpaper. To be honest I only intended to rough him up a bit. You would have thought I had asked her for a BJ, every manager all the way down to mine was leaping around like their arse was on fire, if only they were so motivated about stopping tax evasion! Anyway, I got a verbal warning for something I have forgotten the name of but something like "being unprofessional towards a senior manager and causing her to pull her head out of her backside too early in the day". Not been a good day today, and when I got home the bloody Escort is still leaking.

mk1estate Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 I wouldnt worry about it too much, in my job ive had up to 4 final warnings in one year, i used to get a verbal every fortnight but since i got suspended for 4 weeks on full pay ive been pretty good in fact i think ive had a whole year with no warnings, opps just remembered i got a verbal 2 weeks ago lol. I used to have a cat that suffered from furballs though
livewire7116 Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 Did you have a 3rd party in on the meeting as a witness? and im sure you have to sign to agree the reasons for the warning and have right to appeal if you dont agree with it
PlopPlop Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 I used to work for a company like that, even though its not too much to worry about, it's really annoying to working under people like that , they're not the same people who are in charge of tax credits are they?

I think it safe to say that they are exactly like the Tax Credits managers. It does not matter what goes wrong there will always be a positive spin put on it.

I last worked as a tax agent six years ago and most of the people I dealt with at the Revenue were very good, but I did get the odd clown but you just hang up and ring again
