Admin Mk2Jo Posted April 25, 2011 Admin Report Posted April 25, 2011 I've been invited to a Royal Wedding Street Party which I am looking forward to but to be honest it's not because of the Royal Wedding.... it's a good excuse to get together with some mates and having a bit of a piss up if I'm honest It's certainly a different occasion to that of Charles and Di in 1981 (yes, I am more than old enough to remember it well) ... that was a real event and I tuned into the TV and stayed glued to it ... I think that in the last 30 years, the British public have changed a lot in their views of the Royal Family and any Royal occasions Shame really in my view
Mrs O/H/C Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Its our Wedding anniversary on the 29th..so we are the "original" Royal couple
dacar Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 To be honest I can't be arsed with the Royal Wedding but good luck to them!! Any excuse for a beer.

deltamal Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 I'm going to a piss up in a country pub garden, real ale, hog roast and live bands! oh and I think the wedding is on in the bar for anyone who wants to watch......
Trevmk3 Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 A nice run in the peaks tomorrow should be good for getting away from the wedding, although being in an oldskoolford would be better, may have to print another ford badge out for the car like at CF last year
bigglesmk2 Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Good luck to the pair and all that but if im honest i really couldnt give a rats ass.... ....I also have to work tomorrow....triple time and a day in lieu, hell yeah
jimbo Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 I'm assuming that William and Kate would be embarrassed by all the fuss the media has been making over the last week. But, that said, they've probably been too busy to be watching telly...... Best of luck and happiness to them! For my part. I'll be watching, but then I've avoided all the build up, so feel quite fresh to it. Then later I'll be off the wedding reception. Not that one, this one. http://www.guardian-series.co.uk/news/wfnews/8922584.WALTHAMSTOW__Cat_wedding_to_rival_royals__big_day/
