3 mexicos in classic ford

Going back about 8 or 9 years there was a feature on 3 mk1 mexicos in classic ford. They where white,blue & green & from london area. Any body else remember the feature & are the cars still about??

I can remember a feature on South London Mk 1,s about 2000ish, I think I might still have it but I'll have a look and see.

I had a look and its not in my mag box which means my nans gay dog got hold of it!

 

I remember that section you want, what is it you want tho? just the mag or the info that was in that section?

Spent hours hunting and found loads of usefull stuff like a guide to RS alloys etc.

i can remember 2 south london cars in a joint feature,le man green and light blue,the blue car had a waxoyled engine bay,this would of been 2001 ish

I remember the article, there were 3 cars. I have seen the blue one about last year I think as she still has it but not sure about the other 2 motors.

 

got most of the classic ford back issues & even some old Ford Heritage CF's precursor If any one can rememder that far back!

Thank you all for your efforts,it is just one of the features that has stuck in my mind. Was just curious as to if the cars still are about,did not realise that the blue mk1 was one i have raced at pod & really is the business STILL. I have spent ages looking for my old mag but i gave my mates son aload years ago & im gutted as this was one of them Always good to keep the old mags,they make for intersting reading & how cheap are the cars in the back

Isnt it strange how certain features seem to stick in people heads. I don't know what it is about some that set them apart from others, but thats one of them

The white one is still around and is a genuine mex the blue one is around but not a mex its a 1100 shell both owned by original owners sisters the 3rd a guy called lee dont no if he still has it doubt it

August 1999 issue with a red Anglia on Two Gates rims on the front cover.

 

It was Kerime's, her sister Ayshe's and Lee Gentry's Mk1s.

 

Great feature. Mainly because I wrote it.

The green one i painted it inside out in about 1996/97 i think when my mate oldschoolgezer (george) had it before lee. george bought it as a unfinished project off a old mate simons mum and dad simon who had died in a car crash and was in the middle of restoring it before he died with jon tickle on the 217 in sutton. It would be nice to no what hapened to it. i remeber when george finshed it it looked lush.

Was it really 1999,thanks for the date Arfur i know what im looking for now. The cars had an influence in my mk1 as it was nearly bubble arched but after seeing them i kept it simple & on 13s & even had the square plate for a while I will find a copy
