32evo Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Picked this up the other day, right time right place sort of thing.Blue Mink,64000 miles, original bill of sale etc. Its the most solid mk2 Cortina i have ever seen. It was tucked away for over 24 years and that has certainly helped it. The original seats are in fantastic nick with no ware or rips. I am the third owner!!! Dont really need the car but i couldnt walk away from it. Front and rear Wipacs fitted

32evo Posted May 22, 2011 Author Report Posted May 22, 2011 Thanks for the comments chaps I have been busy with it this week, compounded and polished it and gave the interior a good clean, also fitted 70 series tyres on the Lotus rims as i think they suit the wheels better than the old 60 series that were fitted. Had a really good poke around and it has to be one of the most solid mk2's i have ever seen. A posts are original and are superb, all original jacking points still evident, inside the boot is like new as is strut tops/inner wings, front/rear valences.wings.arches, doors inside and out are all in exceptional condition. Going to fit some new windscreen rubber chrome trim today as the original is tarnished and looks bad.
