Using 10.5 litres and converting it all into UK measurements I make that around 27mpg, seems a little poor for a 1300 but it may just need a tune up and I guess it depends how hard you drive it.

depends on the rear end. The 1300 auto is 4.11:1 (?) and rpm at 100 km/ is about 4100 which explains a bit

My 1600 manual has a 3.54:1 and consumes about 7L/100 km on long trips. Maybe twice that on short trips with cold engine around town
