Advice needed on wheels

Bear with me on this it takes some explaining.....

 

Ok been drooling over RF again, and in the latest issue on pages 6 and 7 is an advert for JMC Motorsport, under the wheel selection it shows some 7" x 13" deep dish alloys in a minilite stylie, would these fit on the 'box without any modifications??? or would you need to have some sort of arch on it?

Anyone know the answer

7's fit it just depends on the offset, they should be fine

So what do I ask for then 7" x 13", what offset do I need, im really crap when it comes to this sort of stuff, im more of a polisher and driver

jmc motorsport is a good company. i got my polybuishes from him and they were dead cheap and good quality!

 

(now if i ever get round to fitting them )

i thort it would come with a stanard offset if not, what offsets do they quote in the mag

Which is why you dont see many Anglias on 7's

 

Marty has got them on his car but you need to talk to him about how he did it and tyre choice is crucial.

 

Also, you cant run a rear disk conversion with 7's

here's my mate angle box with 7x13 superlites on the rear with 185/60/13's and 6x13's on the front . He chopped the lower rear arch lip off and the front wing lower corner to get full lock with the slammed ride hieght

If you want to buy some wheels and bolt them on then 6x13's are the size to go for with the most sensible tyre size being 185/60/13's

 

A chap called Steve Bennett, who has a Harris powered car has 7x13's on the back of his car and they are made by a company called 'Two Gates' and they go on a treat, but that is not the norm.

 

If you are talking Superlites then you have to dick about machining the back of the wheels.

 

Like I said... if 7's were easy dont you think we'd all be running them...

I have heardfrom a couple of people that they placed orders with JMC for Superlite wheels and after paying for them were told a few weeks later that they werent in stock and it took ages for them to get there money back because there were problems getting the wheels in.

I don't know whether it was just an issue with Superlites or not because at the time I was looking to buy a set and nobody had them in stock and nobody could tell me when they would be in.

I spose the best thing would be to just check and make sure they have them in stock before you part with your readies
