Just an insight into the world of James Harris & the job he does!

James outside what the Harris`s normally do in the race World !

As a lot of you already know that James works for a raceteam called Carling Motorsport.He has worked for them for several years now & gone up the ranks each year as he proves himself as a very good mechanic/engineer.

I know that his manager & certainly Trevor Carlin regard James as a top mechanic & have on a couple of occasions asked if James wanted to jump into F1 as there were a couple of positions that were available at Mclaren & Renault F1 but hoping James would choose not to & yes James did choose to stay put as he had been offered a position in the team as Chief mechanic

anyway not going on about it anymore

Here are a few pictures of James & Sebastian Vettel when prior to making it into Formula 1 was racing with Carlin in the (World series Renault) formula of which James was Sebastian Vettels mechanic for 2 years! I think that James turned down the offer of going to F1 because he would like to be working alongside Vettel at Redbull!

James still has his Escort but he has been so busy with work allways away with his team!

Although his Escort is back with me at the moment! when James has the time he is down here doing a few more bits to improve the car, he is currently rewiring the car ie race car stylie!!

Well done to James - he has got there on his own steam and through his own hardwork and determination I too would be a very proud parent if he were my son

We often have luls in going to Santapod & other places over the Years doing other stuff but without sounding Bigheaded we have been doing this stuff for 40 years man & boy!

Andy at the moment has put the pod stuff on the back boiler as he is interested in the 2.0 Hot rod that he races on the short oval!

James is so busy with work as said earlier & what with all the engines I have to build & others I have done this year I am physically F**ked

to do any stuf myself but next year there will be alot of Harris`s racing at the Pod one way or another!

Proud as Proud can be Jo & yes he has got there through Hard work & determination as my dad Ron said James is the future of HPE..

Loving it ..what an achievement for James and who knows what the future holds for him. Im sure with his continued passion he will do very well. You have every right to be a proud parent
