I've just fitted some new twin throttle cables to my mk2 for my twin webers, its pinto btw so they have to take the long route around the bay,the problem is they seem to be sticking,i pushed the cables into the corners of the engine bay to make it look tidy and thought maybe the bends were too sharp so undone the ties and pulled them out over the top of the bay (just to check) so it was more of a circular shape but there still sticking a bit,I've also checked the angle the cables where they entre the bulkhead from the back of the peddle and that all seems fine so I'm a bit stuck on what to do?? I thought maybe I could pull the cables back out of the sleeve and grease them up a bit?

Anyone had and problems like this with twin cables and if anyone has any bay pic's with twin cables I'd like to see those

new cables should be fine, they should not be sticking, have you checked its not the linkage on the carbs, catching on opening /or shut down position, just lay the cables in place dont cable tie them anywhere.dont use grease.best thing is to take cables off completly and work some 3 in 1 oil ,in 1 end till it comes out the other end.but being new cables they should be ok. :thumbsup:also make sure the return springs are man enough.and not week

The carbs snap shut lovely when the cables are not fitted, might try work some oil up them like you said and see how that goes,do others just let the cables lay in the bay then ? im sure ive seen bays with the cables clipped in place all round the tops of the inner wings and along the front pannels :?

Are you running twin cables banarama, got any pics of your bay

As mentioned above,if anyone has some pinto bays with twin cables i would love some pics to see how others run the cables
