Whats the difference between forest arches and tarmac ? Pictures would be nice to if poss.

Forest arches are like what Ians car and my cossack car have, The arch stays below the swage line of the car.

Tarmac arches go higher than the swage line of the car!

 

here are some tarmacs I fitted on a mk2 mate. they go higher on the body and are a bit wider to get the car lower.

arches on a mk2 are a mine field,there forest early and late,tarmac,monte spec,gartrac spec etc etc

 

and most manufacturers make them slightly different aswell

I have fibre glass on the cossack and Dad has Alloy on the Li-Lo rep....if I had built it they would be alloy on mine, they look better and I also like the look of the rivets too...looks hard!

You can get them from gartrac or peter lloyd rallying etc! I think they are all priced similar, I dont know if the ones on Ians car are made by Alimax or not but theylook top quality.

simple explination, tarmac arches make a Mk2 look proper , forest arches are acceptable tho . .
