Hi there,

My name's Daniel (never guess from my tab would ya :-) ).

I own a 1972 Capri 1.6 GT XLR which I've had for only 3 months now and loving every minute of it.

With the winter closing in fast, I've laid up the car and getting on with a few "winter projects" on the car, one of which is an unleaded head conversion .... which leads to my techincal question for you experienced Ford chaps

I've got the head off and taking it to my local specialist and he's said that he doesnt recommend the conversion because the valves are too close together.

He will do the work but cant guarantee it.

I was wondering what anyone else has done with the same head, just lived with putting Lead additive in OR got the conversion done but took the risk OR "he talking sh*te" and there's no problem getting it done.

Cheers Daniel
