welshie Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 hi, im steve - 25. liv mid wales. got a 1984 capri 1600 green guna update her a bit, debatin at the moment what engine to stick in. and what to do about a few bits. not very rusty shell. being stripped at the moment and ive booked 2 weeks in begginin of feb to prep n spray the shell. um. im not sure wa else to say. i like bargains!!!

welshie Posted January 17, 2012 Author Report Posted January 17, 2012 thank you for the welcome aberystwyth so smack bang in the middle im finding my 1.6 pinto very sluggish. what would you guys reccommend for a easy transplant. been thinkin of a vauxhall redtop/ ford zetec or just try a 2ltr pinto first. im limited on my budget as its in the body shop next few months and thats guna cripple me for a bit. any suggestions? also thinking of suspension & general running gear for a better handling ride. i dont kno much about capri's, my brother has 3 mk2 escorts and my love for old fords came from him. done work with him on his rally prep so im eager to learn and to get stuckin as much as i can...
