V8ian Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 Thought about Princess calipers but my mate has them on his RS2000, and he cant stop them squeeling and he struggles to get pads for them EBC have the Princess pads listed as well, The Squealing can be caused in various ways, Do they squeal when applied, or when being driven with the brakes not in use, Under braking can be caused by Brake dust, sometimes caused by pad material as well, Ferodo DS11 used to be terrible for this, but most compitition pads seem to squeal untill they get up to temp, the squeal could also be caused by the discs or pads being glazed, or even both being glazed, the soloution here is New Pads, and a good scouring of the disc with emery cloth untill the old glazed surface is removed, when fitting new pads, fit anti squeal shils if you can get any, and/or a good coating of Copperslip on the back of the pads where they pistons push on the pads, also a good dusting of the calliper will help as well Pad knock off will also cause squealing when driving due to warped or incorrectly installed discs, Ian
