Idiots guide needed to "embed" video

I need a step by step guide on how to show a video clip in a post, i've again just tried for over 1/2 hour with all the differant codes i can find but none of them show up

 

I used to be able to do this easily until the forum got changed but now i just find it impossible ......... please put me out of my misery

It's quite straight forward. In the link below, take the video number, i.e. the digits after the = sign, in this case: EAchKt2xjsw

 

Then place it in the youtube brackets available from the line above the text box you type your message in i.e.

Think i can see where i went wrong, i just copied the code they give you but there's letters before the bit your saying to copy.

You need to remove the http part in the front of the copied code.
