James HPE Motorsport Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 Can't ever see a reason not to top up a car unless you're about to sell it or it's not yours. ive never seen a reason either! I always brim it! Unless its near the end of the month and I am hard up! But the rest of the time its a full tank! Its bad enough having to fill up with fuel as it is, let alone having to do it more often!!!

I agree with you guys but years ago now my dads mk2 escort used to have the fuel stolen on a regular basis till in the end he used to just put enough fuel in to do the journeys he needed to , so was always left on empty. This went on for years , then one day we had a letter from the police saying they had court someone who lives over 300miles away stealing fuel and admitted he used to steal ours aswell . but for years after dad still always put enough fuel in to do the journeys , just got an habbit really . I just put the fuel in for a weeks use.
