I`ve always stayed well clear of those tyres on any of my cars, i think they are dangerous new let alone aged.

most leave the standard handbrake in situ and then plumb one like above in at an angle to the side, got both then , cant fail mot.

gotto use the 4 link kit with slipper springs , then either panhard rod or watts linkage.

Should run with a stat or at least a modified one. Without it can cause hot spots to form due to altered water flow, minis are buggers for this and cause problems on number 4 cylinder over heating. We always took the center part out and just left the outer ring in which never gave us any problems. Hope this helps.

I used to have a nova sport which are fitted with 40's , that used to have a manual choke on it, alrho has the others have said I just used to pump the throttle twice and it always started.

You can get them for twin can bars or std bars , just have to make sure you get the right combination has you have noticed.

When we picked my mk1 escort up in about 1997 my dad drove it home and we followed him in my brother in laws sierra, the escort when I bought it was jacked up on the rear with ballon tyres, faux fir seat covers and very noise exhaust. My dad had the window wound down with his arm out the window and hair blowing in the wind, this song came on the radio in the sierra and we just laughed because it seemed to sum up my dad in the escort in front. I was born 1973 lol, the same age has my escort . Its a car show , the more people the better, if you don't like someone's car then don't look at it no one is making you. I walked around for hours and found the cars I wanted to see , some old skool some not .If they kick out all the modern 'classics' will the show be so well attended and dwindle down then not be financially viably ?

Don't blame him tbh. The price of the classic ford and 'escort' tax for parts, it makes a lot of sence . Rwd ,cheap tuning parts ,does make me think about it.
