As long as its booked in at the mot station and is logged in their diary as coming in on that specific day , you are allowed to drive to and from the mot station , if the police were to stop you and you say your going for mot they will contact the mot station and get this confirmed , so make sure you have the mot station details with you , i.e , name , address , phone number , time of appointment , and make sure the mot station can confirm this to the police if contacted .

Don't be a scallywag. Pay for insurance and get your car MOT'd so you're not a risk to other sensible users on the road.

I was going to mention insurance as either the importance in the liability side youll need insurance to tax it , Whenever i have a car that ive heavily modded or been sat for a while i always like the MOT tester to be slightly over the top especially on checking everything , as i then know it IS safe .....good luck in sorting it in 2 days especially as tomorrow is a bank holiday :D

Have a good squint over it yourself first and make sure everything is tight and no major leaks (us mot testers hate getting covered in stale fuel or brake fluid) ...Then you could either get a pre mot done if your local garage still does them or go straight for a full test....No need for an official inspection mate

Good luck...
