Does anyone know what this wiring loom fits?

Hi I have been given a brand new wiring loom

Ford Part No 80bg 14401 BCC.

I was told it was from a Mk2 Escort and it overlays my Mk1 escort loom very closely.

You can see it here if it helps. If no answer then I am going to have to remove from ebay

No idea but there are no round plugs like that in the loom on my mk2 escort van

Its been suggested a Mk3 Cortina..

Need better pics then that, i'd say it's a later loom looking at the switch sockets.

but it has the 1980 code. The fuse box connections fit a mark 1& 2 escort fuse box. The grey round bulk head connector it the same as a Mk1 escort...so dunno. I am sure someone, somewhere knows. I think the letters after the year code (BG) identifies the vehicle. I think a Mk2 Escort is AB or AG but thats only from memory....

I have looked at acouple of Mk3 Cortina engine bay pics and they have that round plug in them.I think BB and BG mean mk3Cortina..but still unsure. Gonna keep looking and if no definitive answer then i will have to take it off Ebay.... bugger.... its gotta be worth a few quid?

Sorted. A kind man in Holland looked it up on his microfish

 

80BG14011BCC (finiscode 6091815) is the loom for a RHD Cortina L or GL , year 08/79 - 11/81
