martinzs Posted January 10, 2013 Author Report Posted January 10, 2013 Well where to start. The mk1 has been off the road for about 2 weeks now I've fixed the head lights ordered a new boot steel and wiper motor. So while I've been waiting for bits to arrive I thort I would make a start on the suspension . So here is a few pics of what I've done so far. Been working on the mk1 all weekend. Fitted the new wiper motor fitted the front wheel bearings and rear ones both sides. Fitted the now boot seal but still need to ajust the boot. So benign that was all done I Thort I would get the suspension on took a while to put it together but it's on. So here is a few pics And my new steering wheel. And today I've pulled the dash out to fix the heating witch has ended up meaning I've got to pull the heater box out. It will be going lower on the back but need to get lower springs first. That's it for now Martin
martinzs Posted January 13, 2013 Author Report Posted January 13, 2013 Well as some of you no and some don't I've had to have a plate welded on the inner wing panel inside the car. What I Thort was gona be a small patch turned into a big patch due to the Job the previous welder did so had to remove the bits he did and replace them. But I will shut up now and let the pics do the talking. And the repair And the amount of crap that had to be cut out Now it's all finished just need to put it back together tomozz That's it for now Martin.
