GJUK Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 Anyone used any on a badge? Any good? Escortrs.co.uk have stopped selling new repo badges as the pins are wonky and the casting is shite. seen new ones on ebay but don't want to touch them as they're probably the same. the odd original one might pop up but they're liable to be pitted and bent also. I've a decent one I'm tempted to spray up with chrome paint but will it look the part? Thanks. J
SebringRS Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 I tried chrome paint (rustolleum) on my switches on the surround bits, just looked a lacquered silver, so ended up painting them all black I got one of them other badges you said about, looks perfect and if it wasn't for the cheap badge fasteners I bought that don't fit, it'd of gone in, in one peice too Gunna get another one soon, but when it's all in place it looks fine lol
GJUK Posted May 23, 2012 Author Report Posted May 23, 2012 if you find a decent supplier of them let me know.
SebringRS Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 Theres a guy in coventry who does the badges, im sure he does the fastner things too http://www.classicrepro.co.uk/Ford.htm Seen the badges at the shows, look good, but cant see wether the holes match the pins when they're in a cabinet I know Burton do them too, not sure if they're any good either
morcheen Posted May 26, 2012 Report Posted May 26, 2012 i think halfords do it ,found next to the tartan paint
