Backspacer Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 Hi guys, signed up to the forum a while ago, introduced my mk3 'tina and have been silent ever since. Unfortunately, got made redundant in Feb so money has been an issue in getting the ol' Cortina ready for this summer. My Uncle (that's his capri) joked that he'd spray it red oxide, so I got 12 rattle cans for less than £30 and he sprayed it, on a driveway, with tarpaulins for shelter. Prepped on a Thursday, sprayed on a Friday, put back together on Saturday and taken out on a club run out on Sunday. Here are the results, it's gone down well everywhere else, what do you think? It's TT fortnight here on the Isle of Man, and the foreign bikers seem to have taken a shine to my old Ford, but I can't blame them!
paulwoodford Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 Looks lovely and straight body-wise, almost a shame not to paint it with something shiny! I love the Isle of Man
lazy_arse_pie™ Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 looks great , do you have plans to have it painted properly once your sorted ?

Backspacer Posted July 20, 2012 Author Report Posted July 20, 2012 thanks everyone! yeah, am hoping to get it done in Carnival Red in the future, and maybe stick a black vinyl roof on it too. I have a job now, after nearly 5 months of searching so things can slowly start getting done again.
zetecmk2 Posted July 22, 2012 Report Posted July 22, 2012 looks well respectable for cans....i'd happily drive that!!
