transit wing mirrors

i know it's not OSF, but i'am having trouble taking off the wing mirror's on a transit sport..

 

they seem to be " snap off " head bolts..

but how do you get inside the surroud !!

 

any input would be good.

Tie the mirror to a tree then drive off really fast

depends if you need to save the mirror, if not just break the plastic and chisel the bolts out if you need the mirror in one piece then you need to drill the bolt heads

 

i changed mine by chiseling came of easily

They are shear bolts and are crap mate

 

They WILL break when removing them,

 

Other questions;

 

Lower silver trim on skirt will be standard style number plate tape, not sure about the arches

drill them its a doddle done it a few times before use a nice sharp drill bit when re fitting the mirror use new shear bolts they are there for a good reason
