fieldy1972 Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 i have also heard the same even down to red tops i think one of the cars is alan davis the white and blue bubble mk 1 on retro ford last month. i was also told they will be smashed up in filming when i said no way i was told they are cheap cars compared to what they crash everyday i e astons etc... a bit rarer though, eh mate?
Slammed Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 bastards!! they better not well here goes to 10 or so less mk1 escorts and here goes to the price hike they will probably achieve!

cdeane74 Posted August 5, 2012 Report Posted August 5, 2012 id rather sell mine to an enthusiast and keep it on the road,if someone offered me 10k to blow it up or same amount to drive and enjoy it ,i know who id sell it to...get me the TNT!lol
Kevin Mk2 Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 I can think of a few cars I'd like to blow up, but the Mk1 Escort isn't one of them.
Von Thrash Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 Interesting. 2 months ago mate told me about a mate of his who sold his mk2 to a film producion company. He said it was for a uk based fast and furious . . . . and i didn't believe him!
SebringRS Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 Couple of things here about it http://www.nwemail.co.uk/news/barrow-ca ... rPath=home http://bbs.rallyesportescorts.co.uk/sho ... hp?t=61793
Davewrc Posted August 8, 2012 Report Posted August 8, 2012 If its got vin diesel and paul walker in then it will prob be a half decent film. It will jog a lot of memories for people who use to have them and make people who have never seen them before want one. Increasing the desirability of a rare car will no doubt drive their value up even more.
SebringRS Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 Wonder how many Fast and Furious Mk1 Escort replica' there will be in a few years time
5tox Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 I really hope they dont end up sticking 20" chrome spinning wheels on them i agree that it will definitely drive prices up making them even more desirable
Nick Posted August 11, 2012 Report Posted August 11, 2012 more desirable = more getting stolen surely?
Davewrc Posted August 17, 2012 Report Posted August 17, 2012 They seem to respect classics at least, if you can remember the muscle cars they have always been very nice looking with no added tat.
bigglesmk2 Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 Once the film comes out everyone in their rice burners will selling up and buying mk1's
