Last night a get a call from a good mate who lives in London and moves cars around mostly for the film industry and during our chat he tells me there just about to start filming a new fast & furious film based in London/UK ?? .....Well he says the cars that will be used will be MK1 Escorts and they have around 10 all painted red ?? im sure he said red ??? and all running Vaux red top lumps there apparently being put together by a rally firm ? and he said he was told there were apperantly all around 10k to 12k price mark ?? and according to the rally firm all rotten ?.......has anyone else heard anything along these lines , like i said i heard it through the grapevine :lol::lol:

someone on the rallyesport escort forum sold his zetec big wing to a film company and was told it was going to be used in fast n furious

i have also heard the same even down to red tops i think one of the cars is alan davis the white and blue bubble mk 1 on retro ford last month. i was also told they will be smashed up in filming when i said no way i was told they are cheap cars compared to what they crash everyday i e astons etc...

id rather sell mine to an enthusiast and keep it on the road,if someone offered me 10k to blow it up or same amount to drive and enjoy it ,i know who id sell it to...get me the TNT!lol

Interesting. 2 months ago mate told me about a mate of his who sold his mk2 to a film producion company. He said it was for a uk based fast and furious . . . . and i didn't believe him!

If its got vin diesel and paul walker in then it will prob be a half decent film. It will jog a lot of memories for people who use to have them and make people who have never seen them before want one. Increasing the desirability of a rare car will no doubt drive their value up even more.

I really hope they dont end up sticking 20" chrome spinning wheels on them

 

i agree that it will definitely drive prices up making them even more desirable
