Hello All

My first post as a new Member.

Having built a 7 style Ford based kit car. I finally got what I really wanted a Mk2. I started driving with Escorts Capris Cortinas back in 1980 but it's taken until now to get back into a real car.

It's a 1600 Sport (South African). I have only had it a few weeks so far I have lowered the back 2" and fitted adjustable coilovers to the front. The plan over the winter is to fit a Duratech. But for now I'm just going to enjoy driving it. I can't believe the attention they get. I think it's a case of "I used to have one of those" Even working on it in the garage people stop to chat.

Hope to gain lots of useful info from the forum and visit a few events next year.
