johnnyspencer Posted October 27, 2012 Report Posted October 27, 2012 hi, just got hold of a mk 1 escort project. it is very solid with only a few tiny patches of rust BUT!! it has no wings, no front panel, wrong doors and a bad rear quarter panel due to the previous owner slamming it sideways into a tree. looks like it will be a good solid car if i can get it all back together!! its a long time since iv had one of thes but years ago i had a lot of mk1/2s and iv loved them since forever. if anyone has a good bonnet for sale or a grill i would be very happy to hear from you. anyway heres a few pics how it is now.

banarama Posted October 27, 2012 Report Posted October 27, 2012 proberbly best to bolt bonnet on 1st mate,then ly wings on to get the gap then fiddle front panel in place behind the wing headlamp piece.
johnnyspencer Posted October 27, 2012 Author Report Posted October 27, 2012 yea thats the best plan ive come up with so far, only thing is i havent managed to get hold of a good bonnet yet, the one i have is dented at the front so i wouldnt want to risk using it in case its bent and the wings have cost me way more than i thought they would so im having to hold back a bit. iv seen a few on ebay but there miles away!
