its a little jeep like a Suzuki SJ, all body completely made from fibreglass. Its a kit car made out of mk2 escort parts

no one "did that" to an escort. its what you call a kit car. It comes with its own chassis and own body. Escort parts fit into it. IE- you go down the breakers and see what u can get. You also order bits from the suppliers.

hiya, thanks daggle, i see it as a ford as that is what it is underneath. All running gear is mk2 escort.

i think they are great machines and would love to have a good go in one off road!

the suzuki sj is rear wheel drive (until you knock it into 4x4) and its fabulous cos its so light!

 

best thing to do is go out in the fields and have a go! take a mate and a tow rope incase you get stuck

Duttons and Rickmans have never been my cup of tea, but then neither are Z cars. If you like it that's what counts.

don't see the point in it personally.... you could make a packet selling the box and engine on eBay though and maybe grow plants in the shell

Being both a Mk2 nut and a Suzuki nut, I think it sounds really exiting! I'd love to try one of those, although as I understand it, it's only RWD? It's probably better than the SJ roadwise, the SJ both sucks and blows on the road, my SJ413 can't even do 50 mph on the highway if there's a slight (VERY slight) uphill...

I worked for Suzuki a few years ago and used to take the SJ413 off roading a fair bit, one time (at band camp ) we pulled a Land Rover out of a ditch in the snow with it...

yep the jago jeep boys bought alot off me back in the day alot of kit cars are made up of ford under pinnings cos they were cheap (way back when ) & reliable im trying to find a bloke near me thats got one as he said he had a load of spares in his garage from when he had his jago & other kit cars

ive sold some of my old bits to ppl wit rangers there a cool car if you have the space to play. My dad is the forman on a gravel pit and i had a co round there . Its more fun than rippin the floor out of my 2 door . Also most of em are built on pretty standard escort bits that most of us vertuly chuck away anyways
