took my 1100cc mk1 escort out for the first time since i purchased it in dec, well its the quietest escort i have ever heard but fxxk me its slow it doesent seem to make any difference if the loud pedal is a quarter down or all the way down, is it me it seems slower than my 997 anglia

On the bright side, the only way is up and you won't need to spend much to realise a big improvement. The glass is always half full

Thats why i swapped my 1100 for a tuned 1300, doesnt seem much of a difference to most on here with pinto's, 1700 xflows and cossies etc

 

But in comparison to the 1100, it flys

 

Its quicker even with the 1100 carb on, can't wait to get my twin choke back and get it out with that on
