wigglychief Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 I went out in the mk5 yesterday! Was fun on the back roads Even funnier when i gently slide sideways round a corner past a man standing next to his 57 plate volvo firmly wedged in the ditch. He's probably got ABS and traction control and i just have pinto power to the back wheels!
SebringRS Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 I went out thursday night, found a nice quiet car park to have a play in Then my mates turned up, then got joined by a random passer-by with a 3 series BMW who decided to join in Then friday morning i went out round my estate while everyone was at work, empty roads, no people Proper sideways with little effort Got the local garage workers looking a few times as i come past sideways
welshmike Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Ive been out everyday, had great fun doing doughnuts an drifting on the works carpark friday lunchtime Went back saturday morning an ended up clouting a cerb trying to avoid me mate in his bloody corsa Turned out I bent the halfshaft Quick trip to GS Escorts for a new one and an hours work later, I was back out there showing the FWD boys how its done

Admin Vista Posted January 23, 2013 Admin Report Posted January 23, 2013 We haven't had any appreciable amount of snow down here but if we do, mine will be staying indoors. Far too great a risk of ending up wrapped around a lamp post for me. No snow involved but I genuinely winced when I saw these on another forum
SebringRS Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Saw that on Retards Club yesterday, think the build page is on here somewhere Halfshaft broke? or did the back wheel come off when it hit the curb?
Admin Vista Posted January 23, 2013 Admin Report Posted January 23, 2013 Halfshaft broke? or did the back wheel come off when it hit the curb? 1st post said Well every time i go out in this van it ends in tears and today was no different. Me and the mrs are ok though. I think i hit a patch of oil on the roundabout . I'm so gutted! He goes on to say that the halfshaft snapped, when he hit the kerb I assume.
Skimmer Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Unreal especially with all the work/mods he has done to the van a real shame
