I'm up for this, what time are you planning on arriving?

no idea at the moment, if you are near and know the area, pick a place to meet up before we drive through the New Forest

My wife and I are planning to go to this, we are classic/old car show virgins...... It would be good to meet up on the way although we only live about an hour away from the place.

That's a shame, I was looking forward to seeing your car.

I've got some stuff to do to the van before then but am confident I'll make the early start I'll need to get up there from Cornwall on Sunday

Well, you're all missing a fabulous sunny day in forest with lots of great cars to see.

Haven't seen Skeeter yet but have said hello to Millsie

Definitely a bigger OSF presence needed next year.

Just got home, had a fantastic day and the weather was beautiful. We saw some lovely cars and that blue Consul Capri was a thing of beauty, how that was 'beaten' by the RS1600i is beyond me.

We mixed up walking around and looking and just sitting by the car but didn't see anybody else in the OSF shirt, but not really surprising as there were loads of people there. It was great that the cars were all mixed up so you never quite knew what you were going to see next.

I was parked on the right as you went in through the gates on the grass looking down towards the RS ring, ended up in between a brown mk2 Escort RS2000 and a purple Sapphire Cosworth 4x4.

We were amazed at the variety of cars on display, pretty much every Ford we could remember was there to be found somewhere. The wife and I had a great day, spoke to a load of people who were very nice about the car and also spoke to a load of other people about their cars.

Clearly the Mk1 and Mk2 Escort is the most popular OSF if you judge by the number I saw today, my favourite colours were the light blue/dark blue stripe and there was one lovely one in the RS section which was Yellow/Orange which looked stunning.

I have to say though the Aston Martin DB5 in the James Bond exhibition was lovely too, not a Ford but still........

All in all the day was a success, the marshalling by the staff could be improved a lot if they just thought about it a bit more but I suspect they were surprised by the number of cars turning up.

Now looking for the next event to go to!

I was in my OSF Polo shirt and my mate was wearing an OSF T shirt, I was on the lookout for you in yours but like you say, a lot of people around. Just home ourselves, a pleasant 3 hour drive across the south coast.

We must work out better tactics for meeting at the next one.............

Even the wife is saying what a great day it was, turns out I purchased the right car too :)
