onecam8ohv Posted February 5, 2013 Report Posted February 5, 2013 most use yoko A021-R's, have a look on turbosport, a good few road rally people on there.
rallyesport04 Posted February 5, 2013 Author Report Posted February 5, 2013 ive read that too anyone personaly used them
5tox Posted February 5, 2013 Report Posted February 5, 2013 You gonna let me have a go? now the rally cars done you can get your arse in gear and get the other car finished
rallyesport04 Posted February 7, 2013 Author Report Posted February 7, 2013 gota get the stage rallying out my system first then escort an you can have a go you F### it you fix it
5tox Posted February 7, 2013 Report Posted February 7, 2013 Ill hold ya to that, will be pretty weird though sitting the wrong side of the car
Andy44Boz Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 Your road rally tyres will depend on the route and what the msa regs say. Down ere in the westcountry we use a few unsurfaced roads as well, and many use m&s type tyres if its been a wet week! If I remember rightly the blue book limits tyre choice for road events a bit.
rallyesport04 Posted February 9, 2013 Author Report Posted February 9, 2013 i think i can use any road legal tyre all of the roads used are tarmac no loose but they can be dirty an greasey from tractors etc im going to marshal on one or two an see what others are using not really fussed about doing well its just a laugh i really want more grip tho it spins up to easy on good clean roads i would rather bring it home in one bit than bend it to win
gearbox100 Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 they will send you down white`s which can be any sort of surface if at all , across fields , down forestry track, around farm yards, pick your events with care! What engine are you running ?
Andy44Boz Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 If you have the right navigator it won't matter what tyres you run
5tox Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 If you have the right navigator it won't matter what tyres you run oh dear ...... looks like your in trouble then jon we had best get some practise in around the farm i saw james may on top gear a few weeks ago navigating in a bentley, looked quite difficult

gearbox100 Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 Beleave you will have to run standard induction then if you are not already .
livewire7116 Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 Road rallys use coloured roads only, no whites are supposed to be used, best thing to do is to register on the British rally forum and get the opinions from people running similar cars
livewire7116 Posted February 11, 2013 Report Posted February 11, 2013 pinto on split 48s is ok as long as you can get thru noise test!
rallyesport04 Posted February 12, 2013 Author Report Posted February 12, 2013 it seems rules vary with car specs for 12 car rallies i know i cant enter enduro rallys as its a stage rally car an i cant be arsed to fit seats carpet etc but i think i can enter our local club with my car as it is even with the jenveys i plan to fit if i cant do any 12 car rallies ill just stick to stage rallying i really cannot be bothered to go backwards with the car
